I love you Rol.
Yeah those are the ones the haters always bring up and the only game on the list that actually didn't profit is Zack & Wiki - an experimental title with a cartoony, kiddish look and title that was actually one unrepentively (is that a word?) tough game.
Deadly Creatures may join that list of unprofitable though. Sad but hardly unexpected. It wouldn't have sold on 360/PS3 either - unless they gave the scorpion a blaster and the spider an impossibly oversized sword.

The word you seek is "unrepentantly."

Deadly Creatures(I would buy), COD:WaW and No more Heroes could have done better salles wise. 0.39 for a game like No more heroes? Is an insult when even Haze and Lair got bigger sales with a smaller userbase. |
Grasshopper is a tiny company that would not have been able to afford to make No More Heroes with HD graphics. Also, the HD systems already have dozens of generic M-rated action titles. No More Heroes would have been lost in the crowd, whereas on the Wii it got to really shine as a unique game. Also, the motion controls were absolutely necessary, so it wouldn't even have been possible on the 360.
Haze and Lair had huge ad campaigns and came out on a system that really really needed games like that at the time. It's a shame those games cost so much to make and sucked so hard to play and destroyed their developers. No More Heroes made profit, is getting a sequel, and is Suda51's most successful game ever.
@Ail, I bought my Wii on the day it was released, because I knew that thanks to its revolutionary new controller it would be the best selling system of all time and would grant Nintendo and 3rd parties the freedom to try new ideas. I have not been let down. You can call it "potential" if you want, but I was already playing new original 3rd party games like Elebits during Christmas 2006.
