^I just wonder if playing Crysis is worth the trouble...Does it even have cool MP matches?

If MP is your gig I would not recommend Crysis, go with L4D or TF2...assuming you don't own them yet.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Crysis is way better for screenshots than KZ2 is. If you like screenshots, you should definately pick up Crysis, if you're trying to decide between the two.

I have given up upgrading my PC due to massive costs. Even crossfiring two 4830's, buying the cheapest AMD quad core (the very minimum to handle two GPUs) and buying a good PSU (700W or the like) would still cost me nearly 500 bucks.
Well that's the "low-end" build. Already a bit expensive compared to consoles? So let's talk about what's missing: HDD, case, cooling, keyboard/mouse, drive etc.

Crysis does not look nearly as good as some claim it. Simply because Crytek cut off global lighting on the final build. No extreme settings mod can compensate such a flaw.

A rapid comment to say : "no". KZ2 is not IMHO (even remotely) comparable to Crysis played on a decent rig.

i play at 1280*1024 with an "very high" tweak, @40-50 FPS. KZ2 's demo is clearly not at the same level.

I strongly contest the costs some mention in this topic to be able to play Crysis.
18 monthes ago i bought myself a powerfull and quiet (ANTEC P182 + Seasonic M12-700 + 5 silent fans) HTPC, including semi pro sound card, hooked on my 52" display. As i heavily use ffdshow to perform some video post-processing, i choiced a quite good (at the time ...) CPU, the E6750.

What did it cost me to transform this PC into a gaming one ? 300€, the price of a 8800 GTS 512 Mo card.

The OP puts forth a fairly good argument. Bravo. I am not needed in this thread, then, which is a good thing. Continue.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Bingo! It was funny how Shio brought up the bull shots but as soon as you see the game in Motion, again, KZ2 destroys it.

@ Squrl.

I understand the concept of resolution and also that the 360 version is running at a higher rez then the PS3 version (with far more pop up).

That doesn't let the PC off the hook it has 2 GPUs in it each of which are supposed to twice as powerful as a 360. Plus a quad core CPU, plus 4 gigs of Ram.  :O

Huh?! Those weren't bullshots. "Bullshot" doesn't exist in Crysis' dictionary.

Crysis completely obliterates Killzone 2 in graphics, gameplay, physics, etc.... there's no contest.

These threads are always nice to read through.

The reasons why you are quitting PC gaming are the reasons why I am not a PC gamer.

This , tho i am a PC (and Console) gamer

its really the gameplay that matters, graphics , no graphics,Plastic Polygons , HD Pen0r Lulz hackurz detail (randomness) ....  doesnt matter. i have played Crysis , sure it looks pretty when standing still but as soon as you move you feel like its Counter Strike with updated Graphics. its not really worth the money you spend on just upgrading your computer.

Crysis's Gameplay , like Far Cry 2 is open ended, but thats another thing that i dont like about it, Far Cry is boring to me (so is Assasins Creed and GTA IV ) , they feel like the games i already played last gen but only with better graphics

However killzone's gameplay , is actually simply fun. let alone why people always talk about how its Graphics are "Great" but that is not the reason why we should like this game, since for about a year from now that will be old. Gameplay is all that matters.
