There's been no official confirmation, but SE has said that they space out their major offerings (ie main series FF and Main series DQ) because having 2 in 1 year and none in the next does bad things to their stock value. And look at the time gap between Japan and worldwide for FFXII or XI. And they have to port it to the 360 as well this time.

Wii Play 2

Nintendogs:Wii

A few multiplats if you combine all sales

 

NB - I know that 2 of these probably don't exist, and the other is unlikely to hit in '09, but that's the best I could come up with

Also, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers has a good shot. It will continue selling a pittance until early December, where it will win every GOTY award on offer, including best children's game. Then it will sell about 15 million in the next few weeks

EDIT: To be serious, FF13 and GT5 have no chance in hell.

FF13 is Japan only this year, perhaps 1.2 million sales.

GT5 won't see the light of day this year, and if it does, it won't get more than 4 million before year's end. It won't reach 15 million lifetime, let alone first two months.

Nothing can come close. Not even Wii Sports Resort. Only Wii Sports can, and that's by cheating. Wii Play perhaps?

Yes, but only because it's a bundle for the system and they don't make Wii Fit fast enough...

I doubt nintendogs wii would sell as well as on the DS. Is there even such a game from Nintendo coming out for the wii?

No, Nintendo have mentioned nothing about Nintendogs for the Wii, and it most likely wouldn't sell as well as the DS version, and it'd be too leggy to outsell Wii Fit in '09 anyway.

Pretend I never said it.

Wii Play 2 also doesn't exist as far as I know

So basically, the only serious contender being tracked by VGC Wii Fit has this year, as far as we can tell right now, is Wii Play and Wii Sports. There are no unbundled contenders.
