I think it's going to sell about 2M in its first week, if successful. Maybe a bit more, but that'd be luck!

Europe alone did 384k for what most of you on here call a $40 DEMO.  Gran Turismo is one of the strongest franchises right now.

You want to guage GT5 sales think GTA4 PS3 sales plus 500/800k which will be Japan.

GTA is bigger than GT5, and I honestly think Gran Turismo 5 would be lucky to sell ~2M in its first week. If it really prospers, though, it could do it.

Hey, aren't we supposed to be discussing Killzone 2, not Gran Turismo 5 which might not even get released this year?

Anyways, to be on topic, according to VG Chartz KZ1 sold a little over half a million copies LTD. It's sequel sold more than that in it's first week. I'd say that's really good sales.

How often can you drive in Halo games? 1/3 of the game? Less? So if GT5 sells more than 1/3 of Halo 3, it's a huger racing game than it, pure maths! ...Sorry, I couldn't resist!!!

And it would need to sell about 1,273,333 in 4 days to match 1/3 of H3's opening.

It won't do Halo 3 numbers, but it will come close. Probably around 7 or 8 million.

The usuals were.  Satrcraft, Gebx, as well as some new fanboy.

Of course, hey also had all the thrads saying "Why are people complaining? Sales were great!1!!"

And I also locked all the other Killzone 2 threads, many of which were nothing more than people asking random questions about some features or another.

I just locked 19 threads, all of which were on the FIRST PAGE of the Sony and Sales forums.

This Satrcraft better be another poster satirically making fun of me.

Because I haven't once complained about Killzone 2's sales.  Quite the opposite in fact.  I thought the game did well in it's own right.

 

You know the funny thing is that I was saying good things too about KZ2, I had a whole thread comparing KZ2 first week sale to other games and saying it did extremely well.... Which of course was locked by Makingmusic...


So makingmusic locks all posts... blames both Starcraft and I who apparently have both been saying good things and then lumps some guy's troll account to make us look bad!


On top of that he starts his own thread to hog the Vg$!

and some seem to be dense nuff not to know that the best selling GT has the best selling Halo beat by give or take 5 freaking million.

so dude try to comprehand every market loves GT, GT is a 5/7 million seller with out NA while Halo with out NA is nothing.

a 40$ demo did 640k in its first week that looks to be more then Halo Wars kid,  how big a seller GT is.
