First page of this thread?....I'm not seeing it =/

You two probably have different numbers of posts per page.  So I'm afraid page number probably won't work for this, just look at Max King's profile to see his posts in this thread, that's the easiest mehod.

lol at the damage control, its a flop get over it.

Just another 360 flop not that it matters much its a jrpg its to be expected. Especially launching around a halo game and some GTA dc. 360 will never be a console for jrpg, they can buy of devs and games but sales will always suck.

The only bad thing is those games are flops due to being on 360, and unfortunately it hurt those franchises long term.

"ZOMG hes right, the 360 is stewpid and we shuld never get no japanese ah-pee-gees on it cuz they all gonna die in flames of horrible death and floppiness. but its only cuz they are on the 360 no other possible reason whatsoever even if the 360 has a billion consoles sold and half the ah-pee-gees weren't mediocre to simply bad they would only get AT BEST 12 sales."

Thats is exactly the message I got from reading your post. Needless to say, it didn't look very intelligently written.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Which console would you have suggested? The DS, Wii or PS2?

Seems like developers are afraid of putting new RPGs on the PS2 because It's "Old" except for Atlus.

The Wii is going to be tested with the new Dragon Quest, but that isn't exactly fair since It's the second biggest JRPG behind Final Fantasy.

The DS probably would be the safest bet overall.

It's just that simple.

The most important question is do SE and Namco see their 360 efforts as failures or not? Because that will determine where future jRPGs will go.

Seeing how both companies already confirmed that they will continue to support 360 in Japan and are happy with sales on the platform so far, I'd say the answer is clear.

VC sold 25,322 in its first week SO4 sold 59,727. VC sold considerably less then half the amount of SO4 in its first week.

Oh sure sure, install base is all important but you totally ignore difference in genres and the fact that VC had absolutely no advertising in US.  Honestly dude, you suck.

You're acting like SO4 is advertised like Halo 3 which it isn't.
