Forums - Microsoft - Halo ODST...9/2?

Found this link talking about Starcraft II release in June, but I also notice that Halo ODST was slated for 9/2 by Gamestop:

I hadn't heard this date before, but I hope we get to see some gameplay footage soon...and a darn demo this summer!

Great. Now I can prepare for a hot Halo experience. The crazy part is this Halo is going to last longer than RE5 as far as storyline goes. RE5 was said to be 6-8 hours of gameplay while Halo ODST will be 10. Skadoooosh!

Thats.......beautiful business wise.

- Rack up million in sept-oct

- Just when sales decline........holiday boost kicks in. Just liek with Halo 3.

Pure genious MS

Sept is prefect, since it would be a pre-holiday boost...That can only mean M$ has about 2-3 more top tier titles in quene for October thru December...they are going to make sure they top last year holiday season, and you won't do it, without titles.

What exactly is this game about? You take control of a normal soldier, meaning it's more strategy based since it's easy to die, right?

Does that also mean that you don't automatically regain health every few seconds you're not under attack?

Is this a traditional FPS though?

your a rookie ODST in New Mombassa after Regret left the place in slipspace. The city is occupied by covenant who stayed behind. Your part of the group meant to pacify the city. Your also looking for your squad.

With the health.........either itll be Gears style or itll be health packs......im purely speculating here.

Yes, aside from the lack of shields, you cant duel wield (not strong enough to properly wield two guns at once), slower run, smaller jumping, it plays just like tradiional Halo.

Until you hear it directly from the publisher, take any release date you see with a huge grain of salt.

99.9% of the time those are just placeholder and nothing more than a guess that they don't even care if it's near right.

Right on, I can't wait to play it!

If it's priced at $49.99...it's going to sell like crack in the 80's!

I thought there was a thread on here a while back saying the price would be about $39.99?

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
