This is a very interesting article concerning SO4. He says that it is a troubling game because it is absurdly anime in a bad way and that the game is dated. Don't worry though, the writer of the article considers Lost Odyssey to be an excellent game.

Yeah, apparently the game is also full of uhm... humorous situations and err... spicy innuendo. If it's all in the same sophisticated taste as the rest of the dialogue, it must be a treat.
