Am I the only one that's now incredibly scared of World of Warcraft now? Every day we all worry about threats such as global warming, nuclear war, and overpopulation, but this really takes the cake. And that's not sarcasm. Well, not really...

As addictive as cocaine? Nonsense. That's a very stupid statement. You can't compare a game to a drug.

Sure, it can be addictive, but that's because it's a fun, competitive, and social game, not because your brain/body craves it until it drives you crazy if you don't get it.

If somebody IS addicted to a game to the point where it interferes with their life, it isn't the game's fault. There's something else wrong there.  People who try to blame games are ignoring the real problems.  It's reports like this that are dangerous, not games.

I played wow for 2 weeks and when I realized that I had spend nearly all my time playing it with friends I quit while I was ahead.

I spent so much time playing 1-3 that when WOW was released and there no end except level capping I decided to not risk it. I still have a free trial sitting around here somewhere but I remain strong. I have seen many friends disappear for long periods of time because of this game.

I almost started playing. Thankfully it wouldn't accept my debit card from paypal, and I didn't have an appropriate credit card.

I thought we had already agreed WoW is at least as addictive as crack, now they downgrade it?

Aren't they technically the same thing?

Poor WoW addicts.

Don't use the free trial. They'll get you with special offers and the $15 a month. That could feed a starving child in a third world country. This game is of the devil. LOLZ X P
