GT5 many others ps3 has not peeked yet!!!!

I think the question is will another shooter be able to match/pass Killzone 2? Other titles will be able to match it, but it will be in a different genre.

Killzone 2 is not even scratching the surface of what is possible on the PS3. Thanks to SCEWWS K2 is basically the starting point now. Every PS3 exclusive will at least match K2 by the end of this year. Then studios like Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Santamonica, Liverpool, Polyphony Digital, and Gurrilla themselves will continue to push the sytem even furthur. Then you enter a cycle of;

Killzone 2

Uncharted 2 will do it. They had incredible water in the first one, I know they have been working on snow in the second one. Uncharted might loose in terms of rubble and smoke effects, and that rifle sight, but Uncharted's environments are far better

GT5 will do it. Maybe God Of War 3 will do it too. Dunno about Uncharted 2.
The next team ICO game is another contender(even without having seen it)

I'm going to say definitely. We'll see much better looking games on both PS3 and 360 before the end of this generation.

Aside from tapping the full power of both consoles, game engines will also become more refined leading to better performance for less burden on the hardware. I'd say that Gears 2's graphical improvement over gears 1 is more due to the refinements of the Unreal III engine as opposed to epic tapping alot more of the 360's power.

Anyway, the game I predict that'll do it is Uncharted 2. I think Naughty Dog will tap more power out of the PS3 (it has been 2 years after all), but more important than that, simlarly to epic and Unreal III, I think that the refinements to the engine will be the major source of the improved graphics. But to be honest, I think Uncharted 2 will be a minor leap over KZ2 graphically BUT be a much more fluid experience throughout. (or at least I hope so, I'd rather a slightly better looking game that performs the same throughout then one that looks way prettier but has faults that ruin the immersion factor).

Probably do a little better, a longer game with all that disk space most probable.

History tells us yes, there will be graphically superior games in the future. How old is PS3?

As some developer said in an article (please don't ask a for a link, take my word for it) it will some time before we see the best of PS3 as programmers get to grips with the CellBE. He was talking about MGS2 and the improvements to come.
