Forums - Sony - Will it be possible to do better than KZ2 in terms of graphics on PS3?

Uncharted 2 will do it.
Heavy Rain will do it.
Gran Turismo 5 will do it.
God of War III might do it.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

KZ2 has some points where its frame rate drops like hell. So sure, things could look better, if 15fps is considered acceptable.

GOW III mabye.

Of course Killzone 2 was only using 60% of the power in the PS3, but uncharted 2 is said to be using 100% of the PS3's power, it should be awesome!

If what you're referring to is the part of the campaign where you are fighting outside of Visari's palace, its nowhere near as low as 15fps. The drop was noticeable, but not unplayable. Plus, there was hella dust and debris, fires everywhere, and at least 50 people on screen so you cant knock the PS3 for struggling. That point in the game was freaking impressive, near Crysis level of detail.

Uncharted 2 should do it

I hope naughty dog puts water in Uncharted 2. The water in the first was amazing! Or maybe they have been spending time perfecting snow...

Hell, yeah. From what we've seen of Uncharted 2, it looks better. Then God of War III looks better than that.

It'll keep improving.

GOW III will be better

SCE Santa Monica used all the power that the PS2 had and I'm sure they will do the same with PS3

maybe not in terms of techical execution, but I think it's definately possible to trumph it in terms of art direction and hence giving a game a better overall graphical impression

("graphics" to me has 3 undercategories: technical execution, art direction and animations)
