SNES>PSX>>>PS2, though PSX+PS2~=SNES
And while we're at it, NES>>>SMS, although Phantasy Star truly was a gem, and my first RPG.

Playing Tactics Ogre is going to be almost impossible. Used copies go for about eighty dollars, minimum, with new ones going for about 400 as a floor. It was released in very limited quantities in the Playstation release in the US. The SNES version never saw a stateside release, to the best of my knowledge. Hell, I've never played it. |
It's times like these when piracy becomes a much more acceptable practice for me. If I like the GBA one well enough, I'll likely just get it on PSP.
Thanks spdk. I'll start with the GBA one on my DS. A quick search on ebay tells me that they go fairly cheap.
There can never be too many SRPG's.
Both had great rpg's but I'll go for the PS1 (plz people, don't say PSX, the PSX was a completely different console released only in japan).
i go with ps1, cause it has vagrant story the best rpg of all times and it has ff 7 8 9 too^^
http://ps1.ign.com/ and http://psone.ign.com/ don't exist
and http://ps.ign.com/ redirects to http://psx.ign.com/
and lastly Japan's PSX is basically just a PS2 DVR. PS1 was referred to as PSX long before it or even PS2 came out, and that's what I will continue to call it.
This is really hard... Hmm both have a great amount of RPGs and they're really great ones. I honestly think both had very good RPGs. I can't choose.

Well there is still the GBA episode.
BTW my vote goes to Snes.

So now IGN is the authority for naming consoles????
Sony released the PLAYSTATION, and then they redesigned to the PSOne, both names by Sony Computer Entertainment, the real authority for their consoles...
PSX is a special DVR that plays PS2 and PSOne games...
If you want to say PSX that's fine, i'll say PS1 and that's fine too, but neither one of those is official...
