For four years people there has been this talk about Killzone 2 and how amazing it is going to be. Killzone 2 is probably one of the most or the most anticipated game on the PS3 to date. Day one, the online was fine no problems, no lag, having fun. I get off and then get back on and I can’t connect back again, it keeps giving me error messages and numbers and such. Anyways, I have undoubtedly had tons more fun on bots playing with 5 of my friends vs 16 bots, however recently Guerrilla Games has taken out the bot feature due to abusers, which doesn’t make any sense to me, they should’ have just disabled ranking points during the bot feature instead of taking away ranking points and then taking down the bots in general.
This is not the only game of Sony has had a fucked up on release. We can name Resistance 2, while Resistance 2 has had the most impressive online i’ve seen so far with 60 players online, the servers were sort of messed up in a sense of not being able to connect to games, network errors and freezes. The game was however fixed in the next couple of days but the launch wasn’t perfect. Also we can name Grand Theft Auto IV which wasn’t even working day one for whatever reason.
Microsoft games do sell more than Sony’s and Microsoft game servers for the most part are working perfectly fine, with no patches to take out any features or anything. The only game I have experienced lag on is Gears Of War 2 and from what Cliffy said, that problem isn’t fixable so there goes my copy of Gears Of War 2 to Gamestop.
It would be nice to have a game come out on a Sony console and have no problems what so ever. I know we are getting the service free and I know on Microsoft’s hand you have to pay, but come on, just ONE GAME! PLEASE SONY!. Killzone 2 was supposed to be one of the biggest games ever for a next gen console and its messed up day one. Maybe I should have bought Killzone 2 one month after release. I seriously thought about doing that which is sad considering the fact that I do like my PS3 more than any console on the market. If sony wants to keep some of their fans, they need to make sure their games have no problems the first time around.
