Its been  nine years and the PS2 is still going strong into 2009 with the PS2 receiving their own Motorstorm port, which was first branded for the PS3.  Honestly, I couldnt have imagined the PS2 would still be around in 2009. I heard about the ten- year plan, but I think the PS2 can go strong pass 2010. I say that the PS2 will be around with new releases until 2011. It would be cool if it could stay until 2012. 2012/PS2? What do you think?

i hope it dies this year...as much as i like the ps2 and the games that are still coming out for it...it needs to die so those ip still in ps2 could move onto ps3...hurry and die already so i can get a new .hack and persona series on ps3...

yeah i think around 2012 it will die off i never knew ps2 is getting a MS port

2011. the PS2 has YET to hit the $99 mark.

Ps2 is easy money for Sony.

The PS2 is just entering new markets - Latin America, India. And it's yet to hit $99.

We'll see my beloved console go on just a little while longer.

We can safely assume it'll last until 2010, that way Sony deliver on their 10 year lifecycle that they love so much. And maybe for another year or 2 after that.
