in terms of the shows digimon is superior. They changed the story and structure of the show in each of their seasons making it entertaining where as pokemon has stayed the same for over ten years and has gotten stale. But in terms of the games, pokemon has vastly superior edge over digimon
Digimon has a way better anime.I felt stupid while watching some pokemon episodes(was wishing no one would see me) cuz it felt like Barney & friends.PKmon movies are great though. Most digimon games suck.If it comes to merchandise,I'd rather have DGmon cuz they look better. The kid part of me that liked things like power rangers still likes Digimon.Hence,Digimon is part of my top 5 anime:DragonballZ,Code Gaess,Naruto,Bleach,Digimon.
And the original Digimon idea came out b4 pokemon though as a franchise,Pokemon saw the light of day 1st.So Digimon can't possibly be a pokemon clone(though obviously they named the show in the same manner as PKmon after twas succesful). And the fact that the digimons talk is good.Digimon has the coolest names for attacks I've seen in any show or game.Thats a fact. Some of my best anime quotes are from this show!
1.Kabuterimon:You've just begun to see our power!
2.Wargreymon:Tai,have faith,I'll find the original(in a scene of 2 vs over a million clones.U need 2 hear the tone in which he said it)
Lemme not bore you with more.Besides, many of them are only cool when u here the context in which they were said. You can't compare any part of pokemon to the myotismon arc of digimon season 1.I've never seen any1,even spiderman,do backflips up the wall of a skyscraper(weregarurumon)

that's true
also, the USA version of digimon, except that they replaced the great opening, they also removed all the music and put that shit saying "hey digimon boys and girls" : P
the original music created atmosphere in the anime and the quality of the anime was reduced a lot when that was removed
just watch this episode for example, it's Japanese with english sub, it's much better with original music and voice acting, english was awful!!
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
Spanish Digimon (From Latin America) was the best. I have the first 2 seasons of digimon. Love them!!!

yeah,I remember maedabots. At this rate,we'll soon start mentioning Zoids & Beast Wars and Yugioh & Beyblade.......that was in descending order of quality.Swap the 1st 2 if you like.I still think Digimon has by far the best monster designs.By far.Any1 disagreeing should post pics of monsters from some other show with better designs.I don't mind being proved wrong.I'll just go watch the other show!
