the games are pretty much dead, except if they bring back the PS1 "Digimon World" game

digimon games have no depth in design, mainly because they don't want to put much effort and then suffer from poor sales, but they get pooor sales with poor games anyway..

i wouldn't say digimon is dead, it has a lot of fans and maybe season 6 will come, also digimon soundtrack cd's are huge success in Japan and they are still making new digimon cds, the newest one was great (released in april)

pokemon anime must die if you ask me, they pulled the rope too much, pokemon anime is an awful way to spent your precious time, and the battles are no more exciting, especially if ash and pikachu wins every single one, btw, ash muxt be 25 by now

digimon anime has feeling and is more realistic, also their jokes are better, we are pretty bored of team rocket flying btw....

The Pokemon anime isn't going anywhere. Cartoon Network still airs new episodes so it's fair to assume that they're still making money from it.

It deepened the plot,added nice gimmicks & look at the movie where they had to fight of a part virus,part digimon that was eating the internet out of data.Things actually got technical & that was soooo nice.

Pokemon had much more staying power. I haven't seen anything Digimon related in almost a decade.

I am buying HeartGold next year. Which proves my point.

pokemon, the game and the series are great compare to digimon.

            Digimon has staying Power, there has been a new digimon game almost every year.

           2005- Digimon World 4

            2006- Digimon Spirit Brawlers 2 ( I think thats what it was called)

           2007- Digimon World

           2008- Digimon Blue Dusk/ Red Dawn

          2009- Digimon World Championship

 They keep making new games because fans like me keep buying them!

Digimon was created to rival the giant that was pokemon, Pokemon is 10x better. I will say that digimon had greater toys but that was it. Pokemon had the better tv show, games, and all around best franchise.

So my verdict is Pokemon.

I disagree with you.Digimon wasn't created 2 rival pokemon.The original ideas were created almost at the same time.Pokemon just happened 2 come out 1st.Of course pokemon is better game-wise but why do I get the impression dat some people are trying 2 suggest that overall,pokemon is waaaay better,including anime?

But the thing is, Pokemon will always be popular, no matter how many generations there will be in the future. Maybe someday its fame ends, but not for a long time.

An epic battle between Wargreymon and Charizard would be awesome, since are my favourite Digimon and Pokemon.
