Sell your Wii. Just don't bitch if anything in the future comes out that interests and you can't play it because you don't have a Wii.
Pixel Art can be fun.

Sweet always good to hear. I just want to know when people started thinking it was alright to think that when they didn't like somethign that it was everything else but themselves that caused them not to like it. I mean seriously if ya don't like something or even like something it's obvious it's something with you not anyone else. People just need to take responsibility for their opinions and actions instead of acting as if they are the only ones that matter. No one is wrong just conflicting opinions is all. Meaning whining as if someone is wrong is just childish. I wish this site would consider spam actually. Can say how ya didn't like something but if it's suggesting that it someone else's fault then it should be spam. Would clean things up if you ask me and limit trolling. Not to mention people who actually wanted to just discuss a game without doing that would get more creedence rather than simply taken as trolls. Oh well that's the idealist in me I suppose.

hmmm well.... im just gonna through and IMO in this post....
When a person buys a console... they get it for a sertain reason...ex: Graphix, Exclucives.... teH c3LL whatever... the console is responsible for coming out with games that please the most people they can.... you can never please everyone... so when games come out with terible graphics on an HD console but awesome gameplay.. people will be happy... but some will say "well hay! i bought ths console for teh graphix..." and they will blame the company for it.... they are not wrong in their mind... the company is not wrong because they are still pleasing a surtain audience...
That will never change and we as a gaming comunity haz to dealz wid it :)
The bolded words can be replaced by whatever variation or reason you want....
Example:
When a person buys a console... they get it for a sertain reason...ex: Graphix, Exclucives.... teH c3LL whatever... the console is responsible for coming out with games that please the most people they can.... you can never please everyone... so when games come out with duck sause on an aunt Martha but awesome porkchop sandwiches.. people will be incredibly itchy... but some will say "well hay! i bought ths console for the glue stick..." and they will blame the company for it.... they are not wrong in their mind... the company is not wrong because they are still pleasing a surtain audience...

This is a good point. I was one of those people that thought the Wii would redefine FPS games. That's my favorite genre. Red Steel was OK. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 was pretty fun. Metroid was great. Other than that...um... I'm certainly not buying the Call of Duty games for the Wii when I can get a much more visually pleasing experience on my PS3 plus multiplayer.
I also thought the Wii Star Wars games would be awesome. I bought the system partially in anticipation of Force Unleashed and Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels. Turns out those game weren't very good. Another let down. |
I'm not surprised. To me, the things you mentioned are like the icing on the cake. So I don't mind waiting for them to come.
IMO, before you buy a console, you should check whether there exists a basic pool of games that you like and will be guaranteed to come out in a timely manner. To me, it's the platformers and Nintendo games. Everything else is icing and I won't go out of my way to buy another console if they are not released on the Wii.
If you can't find a basic pool of games you like, then don't risk your cash on a console in the hopes of future unconfirmed releases.

Go work for Nintendo and test their next console. If you hate it, they have a definite hit on their hands.
And sell your Wii. Unlike most of the rest of the world, you're apparently immune to the joy it brings.

I love the wii, can't you guys see that ( not all of you) i'm just unhappy with the choice of games at the moment and i'm more satisfied with the games that the hd consoles offer me, an occurence i never thought could ever happen.
p.s I own no more heroes, i love no more heroes, in fact it's in my top 5 games this gen.
nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.
note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)
I can only assume that either your tastes in games are exceptionally odd or your standards for game quality unrealistically high in one or more departments, because really, there have been plenty of great games released on the Wii since Okami. What of Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit, Wii Music, Animal Crossing, Tales of Symphonia? Are those all not your kind of game? And that's just games in my collection that I've gotten since Okami, mind you. There's plenty of others which don't fit my tastes personally, but do suit the tastes of others, which have been released in the interim.
Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

Keep your Wii if you like JRPGs, or Nintendo games in general, blink182.
I hear ya though. Nintendo has fired every round in their clip-of-silver-bullets, as far as I can tell. Unless the 3rd parties change gear soon, it'll be a while before traditional gamers really get satisfaction with their Wii.
That being said, heck if I'm gonna sell my Wii or my X360, just because I tend to play my PS2 and PS3 more. They are all great consoles, and the money was well-spent. If all three got console-napped, and I could only afford to pay the ransom for two... I sure would miss my Wii... but that's not gonna happen (I hope)!
you must have about 25 hours day to play games, because i have less than half as many wii games as you, and i have no other gaming console (other than the ds, which i don't play much) and i'm still busy playing. idk why. maybe i'm just one of those people that don't mind replaying games again if they are good (beat smg and okami twice) or play multiplayer games till the disks waste away into nothingness (i have about 250 hours clocked on ssbb, and probably about 200 clocked on mario kart wii).
of course, like a lot of people on this thread have said, you are entitled to your opinion.
come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

150vg$ bet(with haggy) mk wii 2009 worldwide sales > any 360/ps3 game released in 2009.
current mk wii worldwide sales (jan 9th): 553k
Deadly Creatures & House of the dead:overkill just came out, I heard they are great games, Madworld and The Conduit are coming out soon
but if you haven't brought any game after Okami, then I think your are not really interested in anything that has come out for the wii lately....you should sell it if you are not going to use it, which is totally fine, some else would take advantage of it
