Help us a little? How much did the SNES sell? What is the Wii currently at? I could check the front page, but nobody is going to do that.

SNES is at 49 million, Wii at 47. Wii needs to sell about 2 million in the next 5 weeks.

It's gonna be close for sure, but shipment wise it should be easy for Nintendo to surpass the SNES before march 31.

It has 6 weeks to sell 1.85M.

That's 310K/week.

The Wii hasn't been below 310K a single week in almost half a year now (almost 5 months... A bit off really).

It'll make it the week ending 26th I'd guess... That means it will need to average over 370K/week.

Either way, definitely yes.

I wonder if they will brag about it.

Has nintendo pr talked about outselling previous nintendo hardware?

 I never really saw the point in bragging about beating yourself.

And no, I can't recall Nintendo ever doing it.
