I just went and stood in a line of 17 people at my Walmart, and the store only had (4), yes (4) copies. Luckly I had a preorder from Gampestop, and they opened for a midnight launch as well. The sad news is that they had 33 preorders for the game, and they only ordered 33 copies. They said that they had to turn down 9 people that had waited in the cold.

I hope that this did not happen all arcoss the US. If I would not have got my copy tonight I would have been pissed enough to say F*^( it, and not get the game for a while. So someone that was not looking at this as a major event may not buy the game now. Hopefully the numbers don't prove that this was the case all across the US.

The same thing happened to me at Wal-Mart when The Dark Knight came out.  I'm not one to shop there but it's close by and was the only place selling it at midnight.  I wanted to get a Blu Ray copy and they actually had 0.  My best friend was with me so he picked up a dvd copy and we watched that.  I got my Blu Ray version the next day at Best Buy.  So, I'm not surprised.

Also, I bet that Gamestop will be getting more copies before they open in the morning.  But who knows.

33 pre-orders ?? Isn't this number kind of...small ??

Trying going to Best Buy, they seem to get the lion's share of shipments. Too bad I cant go get KZ 2 after work today. Hopefully they will have them in stock.

Yeah, I have never understood why my Gamestop only orders preorders. I have been burned many times because I figure they sell games and they should have at least a few copies of new releases or big titles, but I am always wrong. Madden, MLB The Show, Motorstorm, Uncharted, all games that I thought I could get away without a preoder on but GS only order to PO numbers.

Like I said, I hope this is not a widespread problem. I am sure many people would love to get this game after work tommorow, so hopefully the stores will get more copies, as some have suggested.
