What are the controls like? Id get a sexbox for this if the controls and multiplyer are good.

The controls are very fluid and easy to use. I found myself with no difficulties within 10 minutes of gameplay, and within a hour or two? I could command giant armies with relative ease and still micromanage their special abilities. Its hard to discribe, if you look on youtube you can most likely find a video explaining the controls in more detail.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

Gamespot butchered the game, saying that seasoned RTS fans wont like the controls. Is this true? I am a huge RTS buff :\

I couldn't keep on playing, because I am at my girlfirends house right now. But this game is different to one of my favourite RTS games Warcraft3. I have something like 80 apm (actions per minute) in Warcraft3. That is not the case for Halo Wars, but you don't need it anyway, because it is a much easier game. That is not a bad thing at all, you will need micro to be successful though.

Well it is a perfect mix between the needed micro management and the controls. You really feel that this game is developed especially for the Xbox360.

As mentioned before: I am happy that this game delivered.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

awesome, cant wait for my copy to arrive.

RTS is my favorite genre, and I love it. Now to be fair, if your thing are games like Stronghold Crusader or Rise of Nations, the RTS games that require you to manage 100 different resources and developments... may not be the game for you. But if you like games like StarCraft/WarCraft 3 where mastering it is as complicated, but the actual play is simpler, then by all means you'll love it.

Stacraft is my RTS Bread and Butter baby!.So I will like this? Hmm and now is it worth the price tag on an elite.

Just read more reviews.

My Official Halo Wars review thread: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=59305

I rather go to people who aren't reviewers for what they think. I know to check meta and such. I wanna know what the average gamer thinks.

Sharky54, I would not buy a 360 for Halo Wars. It simply is not worth it.

This game is an RTS, that works on the console only because it is so simple.

You gather resources by building structures that automatically give you supplies, you don't send out units to collect money.

The worst part about it for me was that you only have a set number of spots to build new buildings, there is not creativity in designing ones base.I think you get like 9 spots to make your base, and then 4 spots to build turrets.

The graphics are great, the controls are good, and if you like the Halo universe then it is worth the story, but to purchase a 360 just for this game is definately not worth it. Leave RTS games to the PC, unless it get mouse and keyboard support on the console.

However, my opinion might not be enough, so try it on a friends Xbox first.
