So the game is releasing exclusively (for now) on the PS3 in the next couple hundred years. The game is completely different from the flagship FFXIII and it is being made by the KH team this is NOT a spin-off. The game is an action JRPG much like the KH games so with all that said, predict first week and lifetime sales for FF Versus.

Japan: 1.6 million (million seller first week)

EU: 600k

NA: 1.1 million

Lifetime sales = 3.3 million lifetime

Seems possible, besides the JP sales. Kingdom Hearts barely managed to do a million there, I doubt a FF spin-off will do it on the PS3 userbase.

About 5 - 6 million

Japan: 2 million

America: 1.5 million

Others: 2 million

It is very hard to guess these things but i think the following would be possible:

Japan - 1.3 million

US - 600-800k

Others - 1.2 million

Let's put this into proportion.

Final Fantasy 12: 5.1 million WW LT.

By the time its out, PS3 install base around 40 mill.

Probably LT sales around 8 million. 3 in Japan, 3-4 in America, 1- 2 in Europe

Sound about right to me, the game will also be pushed as hard as FFXIII (that is if SE want to make back money) so maybe even 2 million first week would be possible. Japan ensures a million first week, the NA and EU would do well to chip in as well.
