After reading some of the later posts, I just want to say that treating men and women less than men and women is just plain wrong. All people are people and that should validate equality just as much as whatever religious, political, or philosophical belief you have.
When people condemn homosexuality in any case, they aren't condemning the person as much as they are condemning the act, the thought, the overall concept of it, and the concept about it. Personally I can only see homosexuality as 'immoral' degrading to the integrity of humanity that I have. But sin only makes us more equal to each other, I've found.
There's nothing an anti-homosexuality person can do but to be run over by the false cries of "inequality" and "love" spewed out of the mouth of those who support homosexuality. All those anti-homosexuality people should understand what the Christ understood, and the concept that has been relayed throughout the scriptures and the gospels, that the world will only get worse, sending itself into destruction. Nothing else really matters, just what you do.
Just as it is their right to speak against it, it is her right to speak for it.
As I said, "All men are created equal". That is what I thought my country stood for.
She wasn't asking for it. Being a lesbian isn't asking for trouble.
Yeah, she has the right to choose whatever she wants to do, I'm not arguing with you. But she did ask for it. Whenever a person says something (in a public forum or place) they should be concious that what they say can and will be contended by those who disagree, and what they say can and will be supported by people who agree. If she doesn't understand this that means she isn't mature enough to be let alone into a public place at all.
Living life the way you want is always going to be going against living life the way other people want, unless you find common ground against them. If i make a post saying Homosexuality is Sin I will most surely be banned. If being christian is asking for trouble, how is it that being something else, like a lesbian not asking for trouble?
