In the context of drugs; addiction is defined by the stages of preoccupation, intoxication and withdrawal. Without withdrawal a substance is widely regarded as non-addictive. LSD, psilocybin and marijuana are prime examples. I don't know why I need to keep repeating the fact that the third and final stage of drug addiction is withdrawal and without the presence of withdrawal symptoms a substance can not correctly be called addictive. I will not post further on the matter as I have already stated the facts and it is not constructive to continually repost the same information in an unrelated thread. The only thing I have left to say is this: a heroin user wakes the next day to vomiting, powerful cold sensations and intense muscle and skeletal pain while a marijuana user wakes up feeling fine. Drug addiction = withdrawal.
