I've never heard of marijuana ever causing anything like that. I routinely go weeks without it and all I have ever experienced is loss of appetite and mild insomnia which is in line with what is medically accepted as symptoms resulting from the discontinuation of marijuana use. Those burning sensations probably arose from the fact that you smoked too much/often, smoking catnip would likely achieve the same result.
