Given current sales trends......157 week or about 3 years.
With the upcoming PSPSlim that may take even longer to if ever. Christmas also favors the PSP for total sales vs DS just in Japan so I'm going with a prediction of not going to happen.

I doubt it happens. The DS is huge in Japan but this is asking too much. Once the PSP Slim comes the DS is Japan will be by the slimest of margins if any be outselling the PSP worldwide. When DQIX comes out I have little doubt it will, for a certain period of time, take Japan DS insanity to a level it hasn't seen before, but eventually the DS will fall back to a range of about 150k a week, which will probably be about the same as the PSP worldwide. I can see the PSP selling upwards of 45 million units when all is said and done. The DS could reach that in Japan, but I wouldn't bet on it.

LOL, that's a good question. Same could also be said for the Wii Japan= PS3 Worldwide. Anyway for the DS (which averages out 350k-450k sales a month or a week, which ever one it is?) I would have to say by Feb of 2008. As for the Wii Japan=PS3 Worldwide, probably end of October. Anyone elses thoughts??

Probably never , I see the DS reaching around 40 millions in Japan , and the PSP over 60 millions , close to the GBA numbers . Still the DS will be a huge winner mostly because I see it selling around 110-120 million worldwide :)

gba numbers are over 80 million hunter_alien... I don't c psp getting within 30 million of that to b honest... i think the sales will die at around 45 million with DS at around 90-100million

DS I see getting sales at 115 million. Japan, it wouldnt surprise me if it hits 40-50 million. I doubt it'll pass PSP but nothins impossible.
