Forums - Nintendo - If You haven't purchased a ds yet but plan to in the future...

Would you be more likely to get a ds or dsi? also how much if any do you expect the ds price to drop when dsi is released? note: i probably mean ds lite when i refer to ds.

Mind you the ad for the new one looked good.

I bought mine recently knowing that the DSi was going to come out.

I knew it was going to cost more and I don't have a lot of money.

GBA BC > camera

This!

Sure, the screen is a tad smaller and the DSi has better sound, but you can't beat longer battery life+GBA BC

Not sure right now. It's rumoured that the DSi is actually quite a bit faster than the DS, so I wonder what Nintendo's intent really is with this thing. It will be interesting to see how Dsi ware pans out as well. It will definately suck to lose the GBA slot though, so I wonder if GBA emulation would be possible (or maybe nintendo will sell GBA downloads?).

Having the gba classics as dsi virtual content would be good financially for Nintendo and make the loss of gb compatability on dsi a bit more understandable imo.

Totally and completely not interested in the DSi. Will be getting a DSL.

I don't like that it doesn't have a GBA slot, but if more games use the camera as an input, then I might get the dsi.
