VGChartz really needs to get a poll feature. Anyways...which do you prefer?
Physical format such as having an actual discs like Blu-ray or DVD?
or
would you much rather download a digital copy on to whatever PC/Console/Etc you own?

cue up digital download vs physical media comment number 49 now
(sorry, I am not complaining)
Yes I am a fan of the Playstation 3, but I am an even bigger fan of intelligent and rational dialog. (If you are up for an intelligent exchange of ideas, you are more than welcome to add me as a friend)
PLAYSTATION®3 is the future......NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E
(haven't been playing much since I am broke)
Well as long as the DD downloads the game to your HDD (like a ROM) and you can play it whenever the hell you want, I'm fine with that. I really don't know how DD works, as I've never used it. Can someone explain exactly how it works?
Anyways, if it's simple, convenient, and works like I think it does in my head, then I don't know why anyone would prefer Physical Format. You don't have to worry about DD getting scratched disks, breaking, or getting lost.
EDIT: This is all assuming that the person has a fast and reliable enough internet connection to do DD.

Physical format. It feels much better to own something physical so you can collect them or sell them.
I like the whole concept of digital copies, but on my ps3 if I download a game and my hard drive gets corrupted it's still saved to my account and I can download it again later. But with movies on the playstation network after you download it, it will only save it to your account for a month, then gone forever. So if you just paid 19.99 for the newest unrated version of stepbrothers (which I did) and your ps3 breaks down (which mine did) and you have to send it in for repairs (which I did) then you lose that copy forever (which I did). So with games I prefer the digital copy...movies.. physical copy.
Sorry for the rant guys
Physical. If I downloaded tons of movies and my hard drive crashed I would die. Plus physical copies are convenient to take anywhere a player is located and they make a nice visual addition to a home theater area.
MGS4 is what, 40GB? That would take a good 10 hours to download, at least. Physical format will be the winner until the day that downloading a game is faster than driving to the store to get it.
Besides, if everything became fully DD, what would happen to the millions of people employed in games retail?
Physical media. I can't stand the fact that once digital distribution came along, all of a sudden all physical media should disappear. Why not let them co-exist?
