The history of gaming is filled with amazing titles, but only a few really stand the test of time. VGChartz is going to make the top 50 of the best games ever made, based on the choice of our members and staff.

So you can help decide what the best 50 games of all time are!

To influence the list please post your top 5 best games of all time in this thread.

Rules:

1. Pick 5 games, no more no less.
2. Game has to be released before January 1st 2009.
3. Please post title + console. Multiplatform releases will be counted as one (for example Splinter Cell:Pandora Tomorrow on PS2, Xbox and GC will be a single entry) but for example Resident Evil is different on PS1 and GC.

The deadline is April 20th 2009

I'm not going to vote, as I'm primarily against lists like this and there's no way on God's green that I can come up with five games that I consider the apotheosis of the medium above all others.

But I sincerely hope that Shadow of the Colossus makes it.
