You are better off buying a Wireless Network card for several reasons.

Price
Future Compatibility
If you ever get a Wireless Router you'll already have the card
Better reliability and less requirements

You can turn any wireless network card into an access point with little effort if you were unaware of that and it has a much brighter upside than the Nintendo USB connector. Well just something to think about.

Yeah...the USB thing is ok, but for just a little bit more money, you could get a router. You'll have much more reliable, probably faster wireless internet...for any device, laptops, PCs, Wii, whatever.

And you won't need to keep your computer on either..

Don't get the USB connector, wireless routers are much better, don't need computer on all the time, they don't cost much more and they create bigger operating radius. And they are easier to install.
