I don`t like microsoft. Why?
Well let`s take a look at a few things with microsoft:
They`ve created Windows. I like this OS, but they are using more of their time to fight piracy than making it more user-friendly (like when usa are attacking iraq).
They`ve produced the big halo-series. I`ve played number 1. Great game. Simple story. Simple game. For simple people. That have simple minds. Which actually are the majority in the world.
Halo is the game with highest marketing budget ever. Is that why it sell so much? Of course it is. In some countries and to simple people, you can sell almost everything when you have money and a good marketing staff.
Great job microsoft. Didn`t have to put much effort in earning a few penny from the simple people.
So let`s move on to the consoles microsoft created. The first xbox was, and still is, and I really mean a ugly designed console. Good games with a horrible designed controller. But again marketing is all that is needed to sell something. Again microsoft did really well without putting much effort in it.
Then came the noisy xbox360. And I have to admit....it`s hard to, but I bought it. I let the hype of next-gen console gaming drive me, and I bought the damn thing. Microsoft had really been great on the marketing area. Who wanted to play the FANTASTIC launch-games on 360? Dammit there`s even a Perfect Dark sequel! I loved the first. This must be as good, or even better. I couldn`t wait to get home to try it out. I opened the packade smiling. "Wow what a next-gen badass. Hmm, the controller is a little bit clumsy, but ok, still it`s a NEXT-GEN console." It took me two hours too understand that microsoft had lied to me.
1. A next-gen console shouldn`t sound like a vacuum cleaner.
2. A next-gen console shouldn`t die (RROD. My friend called me for having errors on he`s new console on launch day).
3. A next-gen console should have launch games that are above average.
4. A next-gen console should have a controller you can play all types of games with.
5. Of course it`s powerfull, but that`s about it.
I sold the console after a week. I played through King Kong in one day. I played through DOA which was then a dead series. And I played through Perfect Dark. Perfect Dark. Hmm...That name brings back so many memories. BUT WHAT THE HELL DID RARE DO TO PERFECT DARK???!!
One of the greatest games ever created was destroyed by Rare.....or was it Microsoft? Microsoft bought Rare. Top developers left Rare. Rare haven`t created an A+ game since then. Rare is dead. The classics from SNES and N64 are dead. We will never see them again. All because of greedy microsoft. But for once they`re strategy failed.
The latest strategy from microsoft is buying games from Square-Enix. Yes they have. This is a strategy to getting into the japanese gaming market where microsoft sell crappy (in the country where video-games has it`s origin). Why oh why didn`t the Japanese fall for microsft`s marketing strategy? Maybe it`s the demand for quality? Who knows.
Why do people support microsoft? Is it because it is a us company? Is it because it`s a western company? Is it because of they`re marketing? Surely it can`t be that they make a+ games. Maybe it`s because of the simple games?
Thanks for reading
And remember this thread is not made to offend xbox players. If they like falling for microsoft`s marketing tricks and simple gaming it`s ok. And this is no PS3 and Nintendo is better thread even if they are.
This is just an opinion where I use my liberty of speech. It is common in the us nowadays?
Ps: Sorry for my bad grammar.

Okay, I'm no Microsoft fan, but let's get cracking, shall we?
A) Windows XP is the best operating system ever created. Ever.
B) Halo: Combat Evolved was an excellent game. It shaped the console FPS. Sure, it was a little simple, but if I wanted complicated, I'd play a JRPG or something. Simple in an FPS is good. Halo 2 came, it was nearly as awesome. Some odd design choices, but still excellent. Halo 3 was somewhat of a disappointment, but that doesn't mean it was bad. It just wasn't as awesome as the other two, and wasn't as good as what we had come to expect from Bungie. But it was still a solid 90+ FPS. Whatever, it's your opinion.
C) Of course that's why it sells so much! The difference is that Halo 1 and 2 actually deserved those sales. Halo 3...never mind.
D) The original Xbox sucked. This is widely agreed upon. Microsoft continually threw money at it, but it couldn't compete with the PS2, because it wasn't as good. Sure, it had Halo, but the PS2 had SoTC, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, etc., and various 3rd party exclusives that were still exclusive, because release a good game on PS2, and you pretty much have 3 million sales in the bag. And the controller...*shudder*
E) Yeah, it is noisy. And?
F) Now, onto what the next gen consoles should be:
1) Um...exaggeration? It's not that loud.
2) Launch day consoles always have problems. But yeah, RROD is Microsoft's biggest mistake this gen, and probably second only to releasing Vista in its state as their biggest mistake ever.
3) Lol. None of the next gen consoles had any brilliant launch games. Perfect Dark Zero was about on par with RFOM in quality.
4) What type of game can't you play with the 360 controller?
5) Not really, that's not it at all. It also has an incredible game library. I only think the PS3's is better because I am a Sony fan and I think MGS4, Uncharted and LBP are better than the 360's entire lineup put together, but that's irrelevant.
G) You bought King Kong? Why? And Dead or Alive is awful.
H) Rare sucks now, yeah. You can't really blame Microsoft for that, blame Nintendo for selling them!
I) I agree on this one. If Square Enix has this almighty multiplat strategy, why are Star Ocean IV and Tales of Vesperia 360 exclusive? And why is The Last Remnant 360 timed exclusive? Aren't they aware that a Japanese RPG sells in Japan, you know, that region where PS3 sales double 360 sales, and Wii sales triple them?
J) People support Microsoft because they have some great games on their systems. Also, they have Halo. I won't lie and pretend that's not a massive part of it.
K) Pah, marketing tricks? How is marketing a trick? They're a company. They want to make money.
L) Yeah, it's your opinion, but you said it just a little bit offensively.
