TROLL!!!! I've got my eye on you! :P
Seriously, Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, RB2, Smash (with friends), CoD, and Animal Crossing all have solid online play. (as well as a couple of others that I'm too lazy to list)

After watching the video, I live in hope that one of the extra multi-player related features that haven't been announced yet is split screen online.
I realize they've said they don't like split screen, but the reasons I think it's a possibility (though, still unlikely) are these:
It'd require no programming of multi-player bots, online opponents provide the intelligence in place of artificial intelligence.
They wouldn't have to get it running four way split screen, only two way, because if they just made it one on one split screen with no bots, they might as well not make local multi-player.
He compared it to Mario Kart, a comment I'm reading into too heavily.
No need to point out that I'm just thinking wishfully, I already know I am...
A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
so then the conduit will have splitscreen online multiplayer, ability to quickly put you in a group, highscore tables for every single player level in the game, bi-monthly tournaments, somehow fighting against ghosts of other players, and p0lus more?
good luck high voltage :b

Don't see anyway this could possibly beat Mario Kart online.

Maybe it can have more options, but without split screen play, it cannot beat out Mario Kart. Simple as that.

High Voltage promises a lot. Don't they? The Conduit is going to have better online than Mario Kart now? I suppose that they are all of a sudden a better developer than Nintendo. Along with having the best graphics on the Wii, what else are they going to promise? Is the disc going to walk over to my place, jump into the slot, and somehow magically turn my Wii on from the inside?

You know, when a disk is inserted into Wii, the system automatically turns on...
