There's a write up and interview on IGN with video footage. It's definately an onrails shooter. No mention of '1 hour' though, I think that's just the OP being grumpy.
I'm with stof. While I was shocked/disappointed at first it wasn't a 3rd person shooter like the 360 version, I quickly remembered that I also enjoy onrail shooters and this is looking like a damn good one.
As for is EA relavent? Come on... EA is making some of the best Wii stuff out there. Even their crappy party games score higher than the average.
But it's clear. The industry are focusing on FUN games for Wii and DEEP games for HD systems. Why does this surprise and upset people? It's not like Nintendo makes a lot of 'deep' games. 90% of their stuff is focused on fun factor and the 3rd parties are taking their cues from them.

It makes sense too, I mean someone who wants a deep cinematic extravaganza can shell out a few hundred bucks for a HD console or boot up their computer, its not like the Wii is suffering for a lack of those games with their core demographics which seem to be shaping up as the very young, the very old and women. I guarantee you none of those 3 groups cares at all about a port of GTA, Dead Space or the rest of it (and it shows in the way those kinds of games never sell on the Wii, Manhunt 2 on the 360/PS3 would have been a multi million seller easy just like the original if it was for HD consoles instead of the Wii.
Maybe they can get a few hundered k in sales out of a rails version of Dead Space, I really doubt they're expecting much more from the Wii market. Their Wii hopes are probably in that Wii Fit replacement they're making that appeals to two out of three of those core demographics.
