Forza 2 sold more than 2.5m without bundle!

I wasn't the one who bitched about your trolling.
We all know how Forza 2 sold without bundles, so there's no need to downplay the numbers.
And I personally call 2 or 2.5 million sales VERY WELL.
Forza 3 might take awhile to make, look at GT5.
Already posted this in the "Big 3 for Fall 09" thread.
This thread title is pretty misleading, really. Forza is not by the stretch of anyone's imagination a system seller.

Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Gears of War... they were all system sellers
@ Kowe: Could have just called it "Forza 3 for Xmas 09" then. :/
I'm only saying, brotha.

Yeah, no xbox fan on this site ever said that Fable 2 and GoW2 wouldn't sell systems :) Why are xbox fans "holier than thou" all of a sudden?
And about the GT5: So that's why people think it's often a good idea by MS to place similar titles in the same time bracket as titles from Sony? It's not because they only steal the spotlight, but ALSO because they steal sales. So them wanting to bring this out in Q4 (in case GT also releases then), is again a case of both: stealing spotlight away from GT and stealing sales whenever possible. That's the entire point of releasing such games (like GoW and others <=> R2 and others) in close vicinity.
I agree, as long as this game is bundled with the Xbox 360 at no additional cost to the consumer, it will be a system seller. Xbox 360 should also bundle another game with the system, like Microsoft usually does, if it wants to sell systems.

I can imagine the meltdown if Forza:3 out reviews GT:5.
Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Good to see that rumors are now popping up about Microsoft's Q4 lineup. Some people have been arguing that Q4 09 wouldn't be very good. But if F3 does get confirmed, that's a pretty big game to have. Forza isn't Microsoft's biggest IP by any means, but it should sell 2-3 million units readily, and is on par with Fable, IMO, as a franchise in terms of popularity.
Would F3 hurt GT5? Maybe. If Microsoft promotes F3 as a cheap alternative to buying a PS3 + GT5 (which could cost almost twice as much as an arcade + F3), it could hurt PS3 sales this Christmas - but not GT5 sales from consumers that already own the console.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
