That said, only around 2% of people own multiple consoles, so I doubt it.

I'd say a little but I still think madworld will perform pretty good in its first week. Considering its going to be a high scoring game, I think that 80,000 copies in its first week isnt far off. All the big wii fans will be getting madworld, and it could have some mainstream apeal just because of the attention it will draw.

But yeah I'd say a small chunk of gamers will say no to madworld because of RE5 for the first week. I also say that madworld will have a similar if not better review score from IGN. I know thats a pretty bold prediction.

Of course, both of those are from massive series, while RE is a pretty big series, and MadWorld is a non-existent series.

So I'll say no, MadWorld's first week would (unfortunately) be pretty bad with or without RE5.
