As long as that doesnt make them cutting jobs and canning projects I dont really see your point. We are in the middle of economic crisis, yet some companies manage to expand and make take-over bids while others are going bankrupt and being bought. And SE is not one of these.

They only made profit because most of the games that were produced were bunch of remakes, for ds, and spin-offs, for psp. It's not really expanding, more like milking.

Their handheld strategy works. And by expanding I mean buying Eidos, that certainly is expanding.

About the IPs: Tomb Raider, Hitman, Championship Manager, Deus Ex, Thief, Just Cause. It is note worthy that in the West all these games are able to easily sell more than any non FF/KH related SE game. Tomb Raider and Hitman, if done and advertised well can sell the same in NA/EU as a mainline FF game. Even the TR:Underworld has already sold 1.5m+, with its terrible advertising and critical response.

Really? I think you're going by recent trends on that statement. Square's games use to sell a lot.

 

What non FF/KH Square games sold a lot in the West? I can only think of a few.

BengaBenga is very anti-Sony, I have seen him constantly bash Sony whenever he gets the chance, for example the title he used when Sony said the PS3 was cheaper than the 360 when adding all the accessories was less than suttle.

Edit - WOW the subtitle is even worse for the article, BengaBenga Sony also killed by dog :(

I really don't see what's sour about my post. I only said that the article is a lot of BS.

He literally says SE should have bought Free Radical instead of Eidos. That's absolute nonsense in every way possible. The other thing I said was that if SO4 is his big issue he could buy a 360. That's all I sadi and I don't think it's sour. Don't read too much into things that aren't there. I dodn't even say that 360 exclusives is the way to go or anything around that matter.
