Forums - Nintendo - Madworld will sell at least 1 million worldwide

It will turn a profit, that's all that matters, hell there are games on these so called HD consoles that have sold millions and millions of games but have yet turn a profit.

Which games have sold millions and millions but didn't make any money. Please list some of those multi million sellers.

Well if it has advertising i could get at least half a million. Or it could end up like No More Heroes, profitable, but w/o advertising no chance of a million.

 good response.

I see that marketing this may be rather limited since Nintendo Wii adverts tend to be family oriented, which caters to their main customer base.  PLEASE do NOT confuse this for me saying Nintendo is kiddie, I hate that statement.  I just feel that Nintendo PR, Marketing and the people they contract with would be leary of advertising (especially on a channel with family programming) a violent game.

This game has nothing to do with nintendo PR, its sega that provides the money for advertising this game and they usually try at least three as hard as ubisoft when it comes to marketing wii games.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

Ahh I see. Thanks

Which is technically impossible. Even if dev's made only five dollars (trust me, they make more than five bucks on each copy) on each copy sold, games like CoD 4 would net them 50 million dollars which far exceeds production costs. So either you have no idea how much/little games cost to make, or no idea how much profit each copy sold nets the developer and/or publisher or you do know and you're just trying to make HD gaming sound like a profanity (like quite a few other in here tend to).

I chose the latter, I refuse to believe that you wholeheartedly believe that games that sell in the millions do not turn profits for developers.

What do you mean by "so called" They either ARE HD systems or they are not. Both the PS3 and 360 happen to be actual HD systems.

You're "so called" part comes off as some sort of anymosity against these systems.

If GTA4 cost 100 million to make and that does NOT include the advertising budget (a low estimate for that would be about 20 million) and the dev's only got 5 bucks per game they have only made back about 60 million$, or half of the total costs!

More accurately though, dev's make between 20-30 dollars off each disc, so they have made over 300 million back on their enormous budget.

It's too niche. 400-450k at best.

Quality wise, it has the potential to be huge. But commercially, I don't know if it can.
