Forums - Gaming - Gamefly Charts Topped by PS3 Title for the First Time Ever

Oh, here are some pre-order numbers from NeoGAF:

matmanx1 (1/27/09):

21 ー kz2
25 ー re5
16 ー sf4
10 -- Halo Wars

(no platform breakdown)

Somnia (1/28/09):
KZ2: 17
Halo Wars: 25-28
RE5 360 (ce and regular): 20
RE5 PS3 (ce and regular) 10-12
SFIV 360 (ce and regular): 12ish
SFIV PS3 (ce and regular): 5-6 though the ce is all but 1 of those which is more ce's than 360's as expected
Godfather 2: 10ish combined between ps3/360 (been getting a lot of reserves on it this week for some reason)

Man, their retail musing threads have done bare. I remember a few posters posting reserve #s in the thousands for games like Gears and Fable 2.

last I checked, things looked like this:

Killzone - 24

SFIV 360 - 19
SFIV ps3 - 15

RE5 360 - 11 (things will pick up closer to release)
RE5 ps3 - 9

Halo Wars - 5 (people are usually disappointed when we tell them it's a strategy game)

I can't say much about the other stores in my area, but the ASM from a nearby store was shocked at how high our SF pre-orders were, and bragged that they had more KZ2 pre-orders that us.

Maxwellgt also works at GameStop. We should get some info from his neck o' the woods.

wow thats good, So killzone 2 is doing well then. i think i might ask the game shops by me the preorders lol, they will thik i am a freak

Wow, our SF numbers ARE high!

For matmax, I assume he combined the ps3/360 versions of SF and RE?

I should probably start participating in the gaf musing threads at some point...

Edit: Oh, those are Janurary numbers?  January was slim pickings for pre-orders, because of the post-holiday slump.  Reserves have really picked up in the past few weeks, particularly in the run up to SF.  I'm sure their numbers are much higher now.

Good for Killzone 2!

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

MGS4 didn't top this chart?

I find that hard to believe.

Just say your doing a survey for VG Chartz lol

Hey, new info from NeoGAF concerning retailer preorders.

User EricWK posted some GameStop info for 14 different GameStop's in the northern NY area. Very interesting skewing:

Street Fighter IV: 205
Killzone 2: 246
Halo Wars: 382
Resident Evil 5: 428
Pokemon Platinum: 102

Looks like RE5 and HW are gonna be big. SFIV is where I thought it'd be.
