well i wouldnt say they are the best, but they are certainly solid.

it does have a different feel to it that for some players might need a bit fine tuning to get into, the feel of gunplay is like battlefield bad company.

all in all i think controls are good. so i dont know why people are moaning to be honest.

I don't like aiming with the joystick button (R3), I'd rather aim with L1... And I hate that if I'm reloading and I was aiming I have to hit R3 again to aim again, it just make everything unnecessarily more complex...

Hell, yeah. I thought they were awesome.

I use Standard 1 with Zoom Toggle. If you haven't tried it yet, try it. It's way better than Alternate 2, because it's what the game has been designed around.

@NNN: Yes, I have played Halo 3. The controls sucked. Okay, that's harsh. But there were no iron sights of any kind, or any zoom mode other than on the rifles. CoD4's controls were infinitely better.

What is this meant to show? The player was sitting with the cursor pre-aimed in wait for the enemy to pop its head out, and still didn't manage a quick headshot?

Will not get to sit and wait like that online either.

yeah, because online he would have been headshotted first, perhaps.  The point of the gif was to show the animation.  Headshots are not hard.

It's definately one of the best on PS3. The controls themselves are well mapped and laid out well. I like the game so, I dont want to dwell. I just wish it was more responsive. I kinda of understand what I mean now I know about the lag (how that slipped through I dont know). It's got twice the lag of other some case 3 times. Heres hoping for a patch.

Otherwise the actual controls are fine.

Again not dissing at all, but I wish you could use the 360 controller through USB or something for FPS games on PS3. That would be sweet. Then again I wish you could use PS3 controller for fighting games on 360. But well we cant so thats that.
