Well, I think there will (probably) be some announcements for the Wii but I think most of Capcom's focus will be on fleshing out details on Monster Hunter 3 and Spyborgs.

They better talk about Spyborgs or some people might think it will get cancelled, since I haven't heard anything about that game since it's announcement, and that was long time ago.... >_>

An announcemnt of Monster Hunter 3 release date in America and a new trailer with gameplay demos would probably kill this thread's question for many people, though. Hopefully it happens.

To be fair, the games that capcom is making for x360/ps3 are already announced or will eventually make it to PC. So despite the claim made in the OP, you don't need a HD console to play them. Or are we pretending PC gaming doesn't exist?

He has to be. He is the only person I've seen that will get hyped about stuff he has no intention to buy and he has also never touched a Monster Hunter game before.

How about MH3P? :P

Soriku, MH3 on the Wii may not be as big as you think.  Capcom is going to charge people playing the first MH on the Wii (big mistake) and I assume Capcom will do the same with MH3.  Therefore, I think the sale potential of MH3 on Wii is not as graet as MH3P on PSP.

Have you gotten the chance to try any of the MH game yet?

In a way, yes...

We are mainly talking about console martket, but the fact that the you have to buy something else to play the sequel remains, still, so PC can count as the HD console.

But Happy Squrriel(sp?) brings up the point that these game could have been planned out before the Wii was released or before the Wii had a decent enough marketshare, and Capcom does have future Wii titles.

Anyways, I'm going to log out now and check on it later. Hopefully this thread will still be alive, then.

I have to agree, MH3 is a bigger game than anything else they are making right now. Well, maybe I can say that after we see how RE does, after playing the demo my hopes aren't too high for it.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Well, if it sells anything any of the past Resident Evil games or if Dead Rising 2 sells better than the first, then it'll sell more than MH3 is likely to sell.
