Forums - Microsoft - Halo wars is horrible

I enjoyed the demo. It doesn't feel like a typical RTS. But, it does feel appropriate for a "living room" game. I felt it was almost like an arcade RTS rather then a traditional RTS. Then, again I only played the basic tutorial and the first mission.

Not bad, just different.

Ok, I read the entire thread and I think I understand what you are saying.  Please let me know if this is right.

  1. Accuse the op of being a troll.  Do this as often as you can throughout the thread.
  2. Mention both Haze and Lair.  It's even better if you can do this while staying somewhat on topic.  Mention them in the same post if possible.
  3. Reinforce the fact that you love the game.  This needs to be done as much as possible and by many different users.
  4. Mention the Killzone demo in a negative way.  You will probably get some flak for being off topic, but it is necessary.
  5. Prove the op's opinion as wrong.  This is hard to do, but not impossible.
  6. Complete an unscientific survey based upon other forum posts in a different thread and use it as proof that the game is epic.

I am going to read the thread again, because I may have missed a couple.

By the way, the Halo Wars Demo was epic.

 

 

Are those some kind of steps or are you asking the J man to choose one?

NVM got it , it would probably be number 4 because if the user was saying something negative about KZ2 he would have been called a troll on the first post even though he shows and explains his reasons for hating it.

Those where my notes on how "certain types of fanboys" should handle criticisms.  It really is enlightening.

Oh, and its good to see my influence spreading :) I think you should try a more subtle green though. You seem like a green sort of person.

RTS are better on a pc but, even with that, I guess Halo Wars gonna be good

Halo Wars is great. Already a day one purchase for me. The Demo was awesome. Easy to pick up and hard to put down. Can't wait for the coop campaign and 4 players multiplayer. This wll sell a ton.
