Im assuming that most of you dont have a problem with it, personally i think its fine, why not have violence in them, we have violent films and tv shows so why not games, but in case im wrong in my assumption, what do you guys think?

2. Do You Think Violent Video Games should be banned?

Well I am at the point where I find it ridiculous. Out of all my games there are only a few I can play in front of my sisters.

It seems like devs these days feel like violence in a game is almost as important as gameplay or the story. Every new game that comes out has to be more violent then the last one. Thank god I have me Jaks and Ratchets to give me a different experience though.

2. Tough question I find games like Manhunt completely stupid but it is very touchy on wether it should be banned or not.

See, i played mortal kombat since i was 3 years old, and that didn't made me a killer or anything, you just need good parents and, you know, have a bit of common sense

Some games just weren't made for violence, but sometimes i think violence is needed. I always wanted a little gore in warhawk

2. Not at all. When someone goes to buy a game, they need to know what they are buying, not be prohibited from buying

If parents have a trouble with violence in their kids games, they need to keep them in check

If there was no violence in games the industry would likely die. Nintendo would do fine but PS360 would die.


On the PS3 there are 26 million sellers. 15 contain violence including 7 of the top 10. So without violence there are 11 million sellers for PS3.

On the 360 there are 63 million sellers. I counted 42 that would contain at least some violence (so give or take a couple) including all of the top 7 selling games. So without violence there are 21 million sellers instead of 63.

The violence is fine, although everything in moderation.

No, they shouldn't be banned. I am fine with the parental limits on games. But banning them is stupid, even if they are the most violent thing on earth.

But getting an Adults Only rating is essentially like getting banned, because most retailers won't sell it.
