With all the hype surrounding the game that I refuse to bring up, F.E.A.R. 2 has pretty much been drown out. Which is really unfortunate due to it being an incredibly high calibur sequel to a game that was incredibly awesome to begin with. The press in Podcasts, articles and demo impressions have been overwhelmingly positive. Personally I suspect that F.E.A.R. 2 will have a vastly superior single player campaign to...that other game, but lose out in the multiplayer department, even though that too will be pretty good. The multiplayer will have kung fu, gun to gun, and mechs, yes, Mechs. If you didn't know that already, you may want to think about that. You can jump kick a fucking mech...and then get apologize before he stomps you. It's a gorgeous game, with incredible atmosphere and lighting effects, the gun fights are ridiculously fast and brutal with incredibly good enemy AI that is designed to react to each individual room, overturning tables, taking cover, flanking, smoking you out, providing cover fire for one another, and never sitting still behind cover for long waiting for you to pop them.
The only reason this game isn't more hyped is because there is only so much hype fanboys can sustain and it's all going elsewhere at the moment. This is going to be a friggin fantastic game, and I'm picking it up day one.
