KZ2 will not sell 1.1 million first week in Europe.I agree with you.
However it can break 1 million first week. I live in Asia, you see. Have they started advertising in Europe/Stateside yet? SONY cannot screw this one up. Even if they do, like all Sony published games, it will have great legs.GG are role models to all developers who screwed up their first game.

Well, the legs will be determined by when the next Call of Duty is released, Nov. 09 or something.

Its true. Look at first week sales of Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank Future, and Heavenly Sword! Hell even LBP first week sales and sales to date. Sony games have good legs.

Correct. But one thing. Even if stores are getting 1.1M in EU, that still doesn't mean that the game will sell 1.1M.... Just saying

Maybe not 1st week in europe. maybe after 3-4 weeks?

Bottom line : whether this game is a commercial success remains to be seen. we already know its a success based on reviews.Hopefully for GG this will sell well.

1.1 m copies have been pre-ordered by retailers, they said this last week. i think until end next week it will be 1.5 m pre-orders by retailers only in europe, because the release day is 16 from now away in europe. 800k first week in EU is easy possible.

The only time you'll get pre-order numbers for consumers is from a single retail outlet and even that's rare.

If it's for a whole region or from the games publisher or console maker, it will always be retail orders.

in fact, calling them pre-orders is a misnomer completely. They are simply orders or first shipment.

i wonder how much the consumer pre orders are at?

No way to know. And it gets split in many ways too.

Some retailers will take a $5 deposit and call that a pre-order. Others take $10 while others want the full purchase price.

Definitely store, but that's still a lot.

1.1 million shipment is nothing to sneeze at.
