Forums - Nintendo - No LAN for Conduit and release date Confirmed

who cares about LAN

but splitscreen could have been great, so, there's no local multiplayer, just onine mulitplayer?

finallly we have a release date! : )

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Don't care about LAN, wasn't about to drag my Wii over to a friends house anyway.
They never said it would have Split-screen so I don't know why people are bitching about it now. They've always said no split-screen (this time). And I've always said that's a mistake, especially on family friendly Wii where people want to be able to play together.

Irregardless, I'll still get this, UNLESS Red Steel 2 is announced to be coming out in the summer with Split Screen and then Conduit is outta luck.

Yeah, I've known for awhile now that it wasn't going to have split-screen.
The LAN was probably denied because Nintendo doesn't want to start a pattern of publishers using LAN instead of split-screen. (my unconvincing guess right there)

But, who knows though?

TBH though, I think everyone would rather see the game get delayed a month or two if it allowed High Voltage to add in split-screen. Wouldn’t you all agree?

I agree with this guy.

for the people asking LAN means: Local Area Network

LAN > online > splitscreen. I don't understand why some people prefer local splitscreen over lan. Is it more fun to play on a very small screen? What is the deal? :P

simple.  I only have 1 Wii in my house.  Most people only have 1 of whatever system.  Not all my friends buy the same and all games.

So with splitscreen if i have poeple over we can play the game.  we dont' have to worry about having another Wii, or them leaving to go hom eand go on their Wii and have the game I want to play and go online.  And much more.  Splitscreen is simple easy pop and play on the system.

Splitscreen >>>>>>> all others big time.  Sure if had a couple or few whatever TV's in the same room then yea Lan or online would be better cause each have own screen.  But only a few people have set ups like that.  Its so much easier splitscreen

Good that you answered this. You said earlier that LAN is retarded and only for super nerds which made me post this.

How is it so much "nerdier" to play on lan than on splitscreen? Setting up a lan isn't that hard either, just rack up some monitors/tv:s and play. You don't have to suffer from the minimal view area, so it is inifinitely better than splitscreen. It does not make lan retarded or for only super nerds just because you don't have enough screens.

I"m pissed about lan, me and my friends had plans to get 8 of us together and have 4 on 4 team matches in different rooms like we used to with halo 2 on this game. I'm actually really pissed and rethinking my decision in getting this now because of this.

sENT THEM UP an epic email about not including lan haha. Thanks for the email info sheer!
