Forums - Gaming - Do achievements (X360) or trophies (PS3) matter to you?

Yes they matter to me.

Usually not much at all. If I like the game I'll try to get alot of the achievements or aim for all [Burnout]. If I don't like the game I won't even bother trying.... [CoD:WaW and GTA4]

Wii only gamers will say they are not a big deal.. They are sadly mistaken. I thought the same, until I bought my x360.

So what about us PSWii60 owners? Me? atleast don't give a F-ck about those scores, why? well im over 28+ years, I have better things to do then play games for 10 hours a day.

That's the way it is, sorry.

Then I wasn't talking about you

Iam 45 and own all three and play mostly 360 games and prefer achievements to trophies. as for not giving an f and being 28 and not playing alot why are you here again????

Not at first - but after I hit 10,000, I think I have become a gamer score whore.

I have like 1 or 2 achievements/trophies on the PS3.

Can't say I've ever gone out of my way to unlock either a trophy nor achievements (WoW and 360 included).

RPG's are typically the only games I fully complete and having trophies or achievements don't add to the fun for me, at all.

one of the most pointless "innovations" of the last few years.. i mean who cares if you beat gta 4 or had 3000 frags in cod 4? its like "hey i wasted years of my life on video games i want a fucking medal"

its insane that people would actually reconsider buying a game because it has no trophies

They are sort of fun in the sense that they essentially become a game on top of the game. Sort of a metagame.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).
