Just in case no one mentioned this but if you go to OPTIONS
you can CHANGE EVERYTHING to make it play like COD4 for those who like to complain

put zoom hold
put it on L1
put the sensitivity all the way up
and it feels like a different game

IMO

Raising the sensitivity will not fix how the game aims, the game is already too loose and raising it will make this even worse.  My speed is set below average right now, because there is no way for me to make accurate shots while using the iron sights at the higher speeds, due to the aiming speed increasing as you move it.

I played CoD4 at max sensitivity for months and got off accurate shots all the time, due to that fact they don't increase the aim speed as you move, its a contant and allows you to move the analog stick more while moving the aiming thing on screen less.

And if people would complain about this like me, then GG would add a patch that would allow you to change the aiming speeds while in ironsights.

It's not call of duty, get over it, I hope they don't add the patch, like this, because it would kill the game for me.

How would adding two options to change aim speed wreck the game then having one master setting for both.  It makes no sense.

Couldn't that end up giving a big disadvantage to those who play on default controls and aim speed?

Imagine in multiplayer, that you would have call of duty aiming, while i'm playing with a default, i wonder who would win.

I would still win.

I think that many people here just complain because they are not used to it, and can't get it just right after four or five attempts.

I only have a R2 experience underneath my belt, concerning FPS, and I absolutely love the way they have done it with KZ2. It feels slower, but it also feels a heck of a lot deadlier when a round does come through. The blood spatter also adds to that sensation of course.

All in all, I get more of a "have to make sure I hit" or "have to make sure I don't get seen while shooting"-vibe when playing the demo. That is actually a lot better than "aaargh, shoot shoot shoot, wobble the sticks and hope you hit it".

So for experienced fps players, it may feel a bit off, but that's just habit.

For new ones, it may feel a bit difficult, but the goal they were aiming for (realism), is pretty much achieved imho.

its good youve got such an iron clad opinion after playing one other fps in your life.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

I don't see how it would be a disadvantage to anyone, some peoeple have no problems now and others do.  This would allow us all to play the game at the same level.  I just want to be able to aim fast, no faster then what is in the game now, but when i bring up my iron sight i want it to aim slower, like when i lower the overall aim speed.  The movements themselves are in the game now, this would just give two options instead of one.

Online gaming is all about luck, lag, knowing the map, and a basic understanding of the games mechanics.  Its really anyones game when you game online.

Like RE5, the controls aren't bad, they're just different. They take a bit of getting used to.

Oh man. Haven't played the game yet, but sounds like I'll have an issue with this. It's always, always a bad thing when you have to hide behind "realism" to justify poor control. That crap has killed some of my favorite games before. I imagine some of you argue would argue console controls are better than PC's, because being capable of such quick turning isn't realistic?

Killzone 2 is not a 'twitchy' shooter like some of you might be (rightfully) accustomed to and we think it might simply be down to some growing pains on some people's behalf.

That hurts! The only FPS I enjoy are twitchy, I was hoping this was similar.

I hate how everybody is saying the controls are bad because they are different.

Not putting toggle crouch was a conscious design decision, and I say it works damned well with the game. Like Guerilla said, this isn't a twitch shooter. You should only be crouching when behind an object, and you shouldn't be staying there for very long. Pressing L2 and L1 at the same time is easy.

Oh, and if this game had a health bar, it would suck. I only started liking FPS when they put regenerating health in.

I played both demos, KZ2's controls weren't half as crap as RE5's.

Don't say anything negative about something with hype Kylie, this is what is comes down to. I haven't played the demo, so I won't comment on the issue itself, but I will say you can't say something, anything, negative about a game with hype for at least a few months after its release or you will get chewed out hard. When resistance 2 first hit I said it's single player was lackluster but it had great multiplayer. I was flamed to hell about saying that about the single player even though by now that seems to be the consensus. If you have a complaint, wait a few months, people will be receptive then. But right now it's just "KILLZONE IS GOD" mode and you will be stoned as a heathen if you don't get on board.

Though I haven't played the demo, I have to ask does it aim like it would in real life? If not, it's not realistic. That doesn't make it bad, but it doesn't make it realistic.

Great. So even though we've played it, we're not allowed to like it, no. We are only defending it because it's hyped. In fact, we all despise the game and are buying it just to spite the haters.

/sarcasm.

This game makes R2 look crap. I'm ashamed of myself for ever thinking R2 was worthy of a 90+. Go on, try the demo, forget all of your thoughts of "realism" and see how well it works.

I must say, I liked the demo - I probably had more fun with it than the full game of Resistance: FoM. It felt different, heavier, slower than Halo (MC is pretty damn slow) and COD. Although, I can't judge a game from a demo, I prefer them to KZ2, now. Maybe I'll change my mind when the game releases.
