Demon Souls BEATS Ninja Blade (which seems to have a bigger budget) in its first day itself

kinda expected isn't it ?

Great sell through for Demon Souls but still not exactly great sales, just looks good compared to what else debuted.

Wii continues to struggle to sell traditional games. I guess people are buying DS/PSP for traditional games and only buy Wiis for games that couldn't be played on a traditional console/handheld? Like WiiFit/Wii Sports.

it sold bigger than fragile

God foribid this low shipment fucks LTD Japan sales up. GOD FORBID.

re: Wii & RPG titles:

In terms of RPGs, the Wii is easily the weakest platform. The 360/PS3 have more and better RPGs - not to mention bigger budget RPGs. The DS kicks its butt. And the PS2... well, better not mention that.

On top of that, the Wiimote just isn't designed for RPGs - at all. Maybe it could be - but not traditional RPGs, no way. Action games... Sports games... but not RPGs.

Heck, it hasn't even got a SINGLE decent RPG from Nintendo: Golden Sun, Paper Mario (Super Paper does NOT count), Pokemon, Mario RPG, ...

In fact - I have pretty good collections for both the Wii & DS. I don't have a SINGLE Wii RPG (no, Zelda doesn't count). On the DS, I have 8...

Just about says it all. RPGs may *never* take off on the Wii, just like fighting games won't.

There is a reason that the Wii does not have RPGs. Third parties are just getting on board with the Wii and the number of JRPGs will increase.

Peter Moore, while at Microsoft, stated that the Wii remote was nice but was not suited for some genres like racing games. Excite Truck and Mario Kart, using the Wii Wheel, have proven him wrong.

Smash Bros. Brawl and Naruto have shown that fighting games can be done on the Wii. All developers need to do now is experiment with the controls.

Fanboys, once laughed at the idea of First Person Shooters being on the Wii. Retro experimented with the Wii remote and and came up with the default control scheme for first Person shooters. Now every FPS on the Wii uses a tweeked version of those controls and the idea of a first person shooter on the Wii is no longer laughable but expected and wanted.

RPG developers, had to experiment with the DS to find a good control scheme. This is the same process that they will have to do for the Wii.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

demon's soul might just break 100k in japan, long way to go still.

japan is becoming a big problem for the wii

nintendo fanboy, but the good kind

proud soldier of nintopia

Man, Japan is really hating on the wii. I don't know what the solution is to get around people just liking wii sports and wii fit.

Everything did horribly. Demon's Souls did ok, I guess. Probably won't reach 50k which is still fairly bad.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Good for Demons souls i wonder why they didnt ship more.
