Forums - Nintendo - Fragile- import preview

This game looks great, can't wait for it to come to the west! I hope Namco decides to bring it soon...

I really like the art style, and music.

No plans to localize? The hell? I want this!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I just want to know why this kid is by himself and what destroyed everything.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Namco are idiots when it comes to their RPGs(if Fragile should even be considered an RPG).  They never even released any of their DS Tales games just because the previous games in the series didn't sell very well in the West and keeping half of the games Japan-only didn't exactly help.  It also doesn't help that Fragile was obviously not expected to be a huge hit and didn't sell very well in Japan just like previous tri-crescendo games like Baten Kaitos and Eternal Sonata got poor sales.  If it was on the DS, Fragile might have actually gotten decent sales.  Even on the PSP, Fragile would've sold better than it did on the Wii.

In IGN's latest editorial they said this has a "high" chance of coming to the U.S.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

The way you're critisizing Fragile's ending is similar to how people critisized MGS2's ending.  Just wanted to point that out.

Basically, you're saying that Fragile's ending was *cough*unsatisfying*cough*, right?
