For me it's:

1) Games like MGS4, Uncharted and LBP.
2) One of the best Blu-ray players on the market.
3) Potential for HD 3D gaming in a few years.
4) Great home entertainment centerpiece.

It's the 1st & 2nd party support. If there were one reason and one reason alone to own a PS3, that would be Ratchet & Clank Future. Everything else was icing on the cake.

I am most impressed with the marked difference in hardware reliability compared to the PS2. I enjoy playing my 360, but it has malfunctioned too many times. Also, Resistance 1 and 2.
