The recent increases in the PS3 & 360 due to new games, is making it very tough on the Wii ratio.

How about "soon"

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

i hope the wii will never reach 50%.

Yikes. Basically becomes a "never" situation on these stats. Something needs to change.

Though it could handily pull ahead in the summer drought, if Wii Sports Resort drops. It doesn't seem as though Sony or Microsoft have anything going on for summer, with Sony still being rather stubborn about the price drop. Resort could put Nintendo back on track, and the situation in Japan should shape up rather well with coming software.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I have decieded to stop updateing this thread as the numbers for the past few months are showing that Either the Wii will never hit 50% or it will happen so far in the future that the next gen councoles will already be here.

I will begin updateing the numbers again if it apears that the situation will change.

Hmm, I wonder if this means it won't sell 500 million either? Quite a few people have been ridiculed for some time now for claiming that the Wii will never reach 50%, it would be kinda funny if they were right, maybe certain people in here would stop gloating and being such a-holes at times (yes, I have also claimed it won't reach 50% many times and been brutally shot down for it, I did not believe so at the end of last year, however, but its starting to appear that way again now).

I hear ya. I never thought it would reach 50% but I mostly kept quiet. though honestly I expected a PS3 pricecut, and resulting momentum bump to help 360+ps3 to just edge out Wii making it a close one. apparently they're doing it without though. I'm hoping quite strongly for the Wii to end the generation with around 45% marketshare... That would show a very healthy 3 console setup... 45-30-25 or so keeps everyone honest and keeps MS/Sony hardworking.
