Forums - Gaming Discussion - What Gaming System do you HATE with a bloody Passion?

Well now im going to say Sega Saturn....Wii has some nice stuff on it

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Hate's a really strong word. I can tell you what system I don't like

Xbox 360 and wii

Well for starters, I don't like 360 more than PS3 but I also don't like what's been coming out of M$'s mouth. As for the wii, I could like the wii. IF THEY WOULD STOP RELEASING THE SAME GAMES OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Mario and Zelda. But since dead space is going to the wii, my opinion may change just a little. I hate kids games (except for ratchet and clank)

Hmm, really? Imo the only reason to own a Wii at present is Mario and Zelda games. And R&C games are not for kids, btw. The tragedy of this gen for me is that I have trouble naming ten games that I really, really want on all three consoles combined, let alone on a single platform!

Blast Works
Brawl
MP3: Corruption
No More Heroes
Endless Ocean
FE: Radiant Dawn
Wario Land: Shake It

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2
Shaun White's Snowboarding
PES 08
Art Style: Cubello
Art Style: Rotohex
FFCC: Life as King
Lost Winds
World of Good
Bomberman Blast
Toki Tori
Tetris Party
Call of Duty: World at War

It's a shame he said 15... because it means some are missed.

Zack and Wiki
RE: Umbrella Chronicles
Wii Play (if you factor price into the matter anyway, otherwise don't include it)
Guitar Hero versions (not keen myself but people clearly like them)
Rockband 2 (but perhaps not the supposedly gimped R1)
Mario Strikers
Mario and Sonic (for multiplayer)
Boom Blox (seems to be a loved by most, hated by a few though)
Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 and 3 (again multiplayer)
Tales of Symphonia
House of the dead 2&3
Animal Crossing
Samba De Amigo
Warioware: Smooth Moves
Red Steel  (not really a love hate releationship, more a "it was pretty good"/"awful" thing so perhaps not worthy)
Battalion Wars 2 (how did you miss this)
Lego Indiana Jones
Excite Truck
Wii Music (You can disregard this if you wish, but I think after learning more about it I am interested in buying)
SSX Blur
Cooking Mama (at least if you liked the DS ones)
Geometry Wars Galaxies
The other Trauma Centre
Disaster Day of Crisis
The Naruto game, (to it's fans at least)
Call of Duty World at War (worth it if you can't play the other versions according to Naz, or if you hate DAnalogue)
Elebits/Eledees
The Godfather Blackhand edition
Mercury Meltdown
Kororinpa
Harvest Moon
Shaun White Snowboarding

Give it another 10 days and there is Deadly Creatures too.

The lack of MLB Power Pros is disturbing.

It's the best baseball game on a next gen console.

Apologies, I haven't heard much about the game as I haven't looked into it.... I'm sure some other good games have been missed too.

MS cuz their consoles spoil often.

If you guys are naming current generation consoles as the ones you hate the most, you apparently started gaming 3 years ago. There are a lot of older consoles that sucked much more than current generation, even the PSP. Some of the ones I remember: Virtualboy, Sega GameGear, the add-ons to Sega Genesis (Sega CD and Sega 32x I believe), Intellivision (it was like a Atari 2600 clone, but not as good), Sega Dreamcast (Great system, but died before it's time frustrating gamers), Some of the obscure handhelds, and the Phillips CD-I.

The XBox 360! It ran over my dog and didn't even slow down! Never forgave it for that!

True, but most of the consoles you mentioned above have been in the hands of only a select few and no one can (or at least, should) judge on and hate a console they never tried.

Personally, I've never played an Intellivision, a Dreamcast (or Saturn), Genesis, Virtualboy, GameGear, Philips CD-I so its impossible for me to determine how I feel about them. And, yes, I have been gaming for a long time, since the first Ultima and Civilization, Super Mario Bros. etc. I even had a Commodore 64 as a boy (which I loved!)!

I don't like PS3.
Reasons: Price and PS2 BC.
If it was around 300€ and was still compatible with PS2 games, I'd buy it already... probably.

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

The original Xbox. You could kill someone with it.

I think Virtual Boy has to be the worst system ever. Just watch this:

http://screwattack.com/AVGN/2008/VirtuaBoy

That sums up why the system is worth hating with a bloody passion.  The system caused headaches.  What else do you need to know?
